What is real and what is reflection? That question continually surfaces in the new series, “Iglau,” a stunning and kaleidoscopic photos shoot, featuring the beautiful, raven-haired model, Gwen. For this unique series, photographer Luban Iglau creates a truly unique set: a mirrored chamber with a mirrored floor, illumined by bright lights. In these unusual confines, Gwen’s slender figure is reflected multiple times, creating a truly surprising visual effect. As the camera angle changes, Gwen’s body is multiply reflected from various surprising angles.
For this photo shoot, Gwen is dressed in a black, lace-up bustier, sheer blue panties, and a pair of cherry-red heels. Her straight black hair is simply parted in the middle, and a glittery pendant hangs around her neck. In the first feature image, the model has lays across the bottom of the mirror box, knees bent and arms thrown over her head. From this angle, her long legs create a surreal, star-shaped reflection. Her eyes closed and shiny lips parted, Gwen is sensuous and otherworldly.
As the series continues, the photographer continues to coax out many unusual, stunning, and occasionally surreal photos. Using the mirrors, he is able to simultaneously capture Gwen from several contrasting angles, creating an unusual but extremely stimulating visual effect. At first glance, it is not always clear if the camera is capturing Gwen’s body or its reflection.
The second image featured from “Iglau” has a truly original composition. To capture this interesting angle, the photographer hovers over Gwen as she crouches in the mirror box, her hands thrown behind her head. The top third of the image is entirely black, contrasting and thereby highlighting the multitude of lights and colors that surround Gwen below. A perfectly composed piece, Gwen’s slender midsection is framed by the curves of the mirrors, as her body is enticingly reflected in the mirrors below.
In the final image, Gwen lays across the floor of the mirrored box. Smiling sweetly, she hikes her heels up over her head. The black soles of her cherry red pumps crisscross in the center of the image, and her mane of black hair falls around her shoulders. Reflected in posterior mirrors, her raven hair creates a dark halo around her sweet face.
